…who’s Henry?
Henry Fernau is a New York State-based artist. He holds a BFA in Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts and studied under the mentorship of Gary Panter (Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, RAW Magazine) and Tom Hart (Sequential Artist’s Workshop founder) among other notable creatives. He interned with MARVEL Comics in 2010 and worked as an assistant to several New York based independent craftspeople, artists and performers doing everything from the manufacture of wooden mobiles, decorative tile production and performative food art.
Currently based in upstate NY, he has been involved in various exhibitions, happenings, local arts publications and DIY venue promotion.
In 2023 he completed his first graphic novel “Vessel”, which is available here as well as various independent comic retailers across the nation.
